  • Approx. 120,000m3 of bulk excavation including 15,000m3 of rock and
    removal of coal measures.

  • Dredging of existing lagoon and placement of rock fill into lagoon.

  • Relocation of approx. 40,000m3 of refuse.

  • Approx. 110,000m2 of geomembrane, 2 layers of geo grid, 2 layers of
    geotextile and a 600mm thick structural layer.

  • Approx. 40,000m2 of basal drainage layer.

  • Construction of leachate pumping station.

  • Construction of lower cell providing waste capacity of approx 2 million m3.

  • Provision of new lagoon.

  • Provision of new pumps and pumping station for discharge of clean surface water using a nominated sub contractor.

  • Construction of new access road 7.5m wide and approx 1200m long and upgrading along a length of a further 600m.

  • New cell comprising of 27,000m3 of 2.5m thick HDPE lining with associated stone and geological support layers.

  • Work predominantly on a 1:2.5 side slope with tie ins to previously laid liner.

  • Associated works included attenuation ponds and drainage.
