- Walters
Mining Limited was formed in 1983 to develop licensed opencast
coal sites predominantly in South Wales. In the early 1990’s
the company began work as a Contractor to other mining companies
and has gained the reputation for achieving optimum production
levels along with a high standard of restoration.

Walters Mining Limited has now since extended its operation
to other regions of the UK.
- Walters
Mining has significant land reserves including 1300 acre
known as Maesgwyn at Glynneath which has the potential for
a variety of uses such as landfill, coal and sandstone extraction
and various leisure activities.
- This
site is currently being used principally as a leisure facility.
The Walters Arena Motorsports Complex which forms an integral
part of Wales Rally GB along with many other motorsport
and corporate hospitality undertaking.
- The
Company also owns the 3800 acre Pwll Du Site at Blaenavon,
with reserves of over 10 million tonnes of coal. This site
has tremendous potential for variety of onward uses after
coal extraction and restoration.
